I just love Spring! With the warmest March on record, I thought Spring had arrived much earlier to my neck of the woods than its official first day. But now it is official, so I can really enjoy it. The flowers and trees are blooming, the days are getting longer and the air is fresh and fragrant.

Spring is an inspiring time, a time to refresh and nourish my soul, as well as a time to give my house a good cleaning. As a writer, it’s a time to develop all those story ideas that ruminated as “seeds” in my head during the long, dark, days of winter. You know, now I will put pen to paper.

Just like the flowers and vegetables that we plan to grow in our gardens this year, our writing ideas need to be “planted” to paper, nurtured with thought, and “weeded” with revisions to cultivate the unique and beautiful creations of our imaginations.

The fruits of my literary garden will be harvested into the Summer with the release of my first young adult novella and several other short stories that I have been working on. Yes, Spring is the beginning of many beautiful things! I hope the season brings you peace, hope, joy and much personal and professional success.
